Thank you for signing Lisa Loverde Jobe's Guestbook
In finding out today about Lisa's passing, I send my condolences to all who knew and miss her. After reading, I noticed that she and I have "The South" in common, I moved up to VA from Baton Rouge, LA my senior year and enrolled at PH, which is how I met Lisa, both 89 graduates. Remembering back some 30 years, I never forgot her smiling face, and positive attitude. God has a way of collecting his angels earlier than what we, here on earth want. Prayers

Lisa, I remember the day you married Jamie. I was just 5 years old and didn’t want to leave your side. This carried on throughout the rest of my childhood. I loved all the weekends I got to spend with you baking, doing crafts, and making picnics. Halloween at your house is some of my favorite memories with you. You loved me as if I were your own. You had such a pure heart, a smile that was contagious, and could find a friend in anyone. I love you and I’m going to miss you every day. I take comfort in the fact that you’re finally at peace.

May God give the family the strength to get through this difficult time. Jesus said, Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Lisa will be missed and is loved by all who knew her. Rest in Peace. Ten thousand angels took your soul and you are with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness". 2 Cor. 12:9 Until we all meet again in Heaven. Sing with the angels. Love, Karen Luc Long from Poplarville, MS.

My sweet Lisa. From the first time we met, I knew we would be great friends. Then you married my brother Jamie and we became great family. His love for you is immense. My children's love for you also so great. Sarah and Melissa both cherish their memories of the weekends spent with you and Jamie. You baking and crafting with them and Jamie giving them rides on the mower; watching Disney movies in the afternoon/evening and having cupcakes for breakfast! Thank you for caring for my children as if they were your own. I am truly going to miss that infectious smile and laugh of yours. You made Jame very happy and for that I am grateful for the time we had with you.
I hope you have found peace now and in time, we will as well but please know that you will never be forgotten. My love always,

Jamie, I cannot tell you how sad I am today and I cannot imagine how you and your family feel. Lisa was one of a kind. I was fortunate to know her and her dog Molly. She was a great friend and one of the kindest people I have ever met. Lisa had a way about her that no one else did. She always seemed to know when someone was down and would immediately devote all of her attention to them. Her way of calling you by first and last name always made you feel special. She will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

To the Family. I am sorry to hear of your loss and know the pain of the death of a loved one. The promises from God's Word is a great source of comfort and hope. Isaiah 25:8 says that 'death will be swallowed up forever.' What a relief. The time will come when humans will no longer look forward to it. Even better , is when the time comes when we will see our loved ones again, as Acts 24:15 promises, "There is going to be a resurrection...". The God of the Bible is truly 'the God of all comfort.' ~2 Corinthians 1:3.
