Obituary
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
II Timothy 4:7-8
Ira C. Frazier, 86, went to be with his heavenly father on March 26, 2018 following an extended illness.
Ira was a minister of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for 60 years and never missed an opportunity to share the gospel message. He pastored churches in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia, and Tennessee and was a teacher of the Bible at Mount Vernon Bible College in Ohio.
He was a builder of churches and a pastor who lovingly guided his congregation in Christian principles of daily living. He founded the Christian Learning Center in Meridian, Mississippi with that purpose in mind. As one member of his congregation recently shared, “…he taught us how to live.”
Staying involved with the Foursquare Church was important to him and after retirement he started the Retired Ministers Retreat which served as the foundation for the current Foursquare Forerunners Retired Ministers Association.
Ira was born in Jackson, Mississippi and grew up restoring furniture in the family business, Frazier’s Furniture Repair. He continued to be interested in furniture restoration and antique clock restoration throughout his life.
Ira was President of the Lion’s Club in Meridian, Mississippi and was acknowledged by North Rhea County Tennessee’s Ministerial Association for outstanding service to the community.
He was preceded in death by his father Mabry Flemon Frazier, Sr.; mother Mable Simpson Frazier; brothers Mabry Flemon, Jr., Carol Nelson, Talmadge Earl and Alfred Gayden. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Dorothy Little Frazier; his sister Mary Emma and her husband Victor Samples; his daughters and their spouses: Susan Frazier Allen and Chuck Allen; Debbie Frazier Mickle and Doug Mickle; his granddaughters and their spouses: Meghan Hardy and Jeremy Hardy; Kristen Caudill and Dustin Caudill; Caitlin Laxton and Bryce Laxton; his grandsons Zach Mickle and Adam Mickle; and his great grandchildren Madison Caudill, Olivia Hardy, Celia Hardy, and Alayna Hardy.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 14 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2005 Washington Street, Bluefield, WV 24701.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org and Foursquare Missions International at www.foursquaremissions.org.

He was always a ray of sunshine with a warm smile and uplifting remark for anyone who stopped to chat with him. His personality was a reflection of his everyday walk with his LORD! Will miss him at church.
Love and prayers to his precious family,

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Death is never easy to cope with, but I have found encouragement thru the Holy Scriptures when I too lost a loved one. Revelation 21:4 and 2 Corinthians 1:3,4. I'm sure you will find great comfort in these verses as well. Please accept my sincere condolences
