Willie M. Moses Sr. affectionately known to many as “Minie,” age 90, of Richmond, VA, passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his wife Whalenia “Knock Ball” Moses, parents Henry S. Moses and Mary R. Moses, brother Henry Moses Jr., sisters Mary Moses, Cora Lee Bickham and Edna Mae Bailey, nephews William Moses Sr., Edward Moses, Marvin Moses, and Eugene Moses Jr., nieces Sonya Moses and Jo Anne Moses.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Willnette Moses-Cunningham, and Willie Moses Jr.; four grandchildren, Stacey (Tina), Tara (David), Willie aka Dee, and Jennifer (Johnny); eight great grandchildren, Cherae (Scottie), Tocarra, Dania, David Jr., Elijah, Nicholas, Rachel, and Alejandra; and 3 great great grandchildren, Cameron, Caila and Skylar; one nephew Eugene Moses Sr. (Lolita), one niece Sharon Brooks (Joe), a devoted cousin Pauline Jones; and a host of other family and friends.
Minie attended Maggie L. Walker High School. After high school he served in the U. S. Army and fought in the Korean War.
