Obituary message
Allen “Trey” Smith Berry III, 25, of Mechanicsville passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at home.
Trey loved to hunt on Lynch’s property. He enjoyed fishing with friends and family. Trey also enjoyed family day. He had a passion for helping others. Trey was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for the Riverside Jail and Oakridge Correctional Center. He spent the last six years working at Sheetz where he most recently served as an assistant manager.
Trey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen Smith Berry, Sr., Rose Ester Berry and David Carr Seay; and his step-father, Steven Stephenson.
Survivors include his wife, Samantha “Sam” Loving-Berry; two sons, Liam Monroe and Ethan Carr Berry; mother, Rebecca Stephenson; father, Allen Smith Berry Jr. and his wife, Karen; grandmother, Joyce Seay; sister, Krystal Danielle Berry and Alex Trim and their son, Prestyn; half brothers and sisters, Paul Berry, Slade Stephenson, Harleigh Stephenson and Savannah Stephenson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm Sunday, March 13 at Amelia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be private.
You will be missed. Our hearts are broken. There are just no words, Trey. I love you. Rest in peace.

Trey was more then a friend i looked up to him he was like my brother. I remember the good times. There was nothing but good times when he was around. You are loved and missed brother
Trey was to young to have lost his life. He will be missed by everyone. My deepest condolences to his family and may God watch over you all and help you heal in this rough and sad time. And know that he is watching over you all!

Trey was a wonderful person to work with and I was fortunate enough to have him as a friend, he was truly an inspiration the employees at Riversbend hated it when he got transferred back to Huguenot a great coworker friend father and husband.
