Obituary message
Amy Jane Beers, 42, of Powhatan passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at VCU Medical Center.
Survivors include her sons, Trevor Beers-Blair and Ian Beers-Jones; father, Robert W. Beers; mother, Jane A. McGinnis; siblings, Jenny Francis (Charlie), Jessica Beers (TJ Smith), Dana Beers (Elizabeth) and Victoria Boeger (Steve); nieces and nephews, Matthew Croxton (Nichole), Acelynn Croxton, Jackson Croxton, Peyton Francis and Will Bennett; god-daughter, Leah Boeger; her best friend, Todd Gravitt; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
Amy was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed scuba diving, surfing and all things Salt Life. She sought for peace, reconciliation and love.
Friend’s would describe her as “strong, courageous, unafraid, wild, free, headstrong, beautiful, kind and loving.”
She lived by the motto “dream without limits, love without fear.”
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held Saturday, November 12.
