Andrew Thomas Luna, 34, of Chesterfield passed away December 16, 2017.
Andrew loved his family and friends dearly. He was an avid outdoorsman. Andrew enjoyed kayaking, hiking and rock climbing. Andrew was a hard-working individual who worked as a scientist for the State of Virginia for many years.
He is survived by his father, Gerald Luna; brothers, Matthew Luna (Angela) and Timothy Luna; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Luna
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, at Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School St, Chester, VA 23831.
In lieu of flowers donations, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231
Andrew, thank you for always assisting me when needed! Your absence will truly be felt in the lab. I pray for joyful memories that will provide comfort and peace to your family during this difficult time.
We will miss Andrew so much at DCLS. He was a great scientist, coworker and friend. His dedication to his work, his family and coworkers is an inspiration that I will continue to look to for years to come. It was an honor to work with him and to have known him.
I enjoyed working with Andrew for many years. He was a person of integrity. He will be missed. May Jesus bring comfort and peace to your hearts right now and in the days ahead.
A true scientist and an honor to work with Andrew. He always figures a way to solve difficult problems then simplifies it for everyone. I learned a lot from him. My heartfelt condolences to the family!! Andrew rest in His Peace!!!!
