Anna Louise Buzzard
June 2, 1954 – December 23, 2021
Anna Louise Buzzard, 67, of Glen Allen, VA passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Laurels of University Park.
Anna, Annie, or Momma B as she liked to be called by friends and family was raised in Cameron, WV. She relocated over time to Morgantown, WV, Myrtle Beach, SC, and finally made a home in Richmond, VA. If you know Anna, she was an avid crafter. She loved making wreaths, jewelry, and decorating. She would watch her YouTube videos on new crafts and then attempt to make them. Some of her favorite times were sitting at her dining room table making jewelry with a glass or two of wine. Many of her friends have the bracelets that she would make, and she would want you to continue to wear them and think of her.
Anna also enjoyed her pool time as soon as her pool would open. She would have her daily ritual of going with her book or crocheting while talking with neighbors and making new friends. She would donate every year to several churches and nursing homes scarves and blankets that she would make throughout the year. Also, in her spare time, she loved sitting with neighbors and friends on her patio that she of course would decorate seasonally. She was always up for a good laugh, hilarious comment, and taking pictures of everything and everyone on her phone.
Survivors include her son, Nicholaus Buzzard, his partner Joe Korzeniewski and their grand-dog Charlie Black. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Black; her husband, Thomas Buzzard; her mother, Lorraine Black; and her father, Charles Black.
Nicholaus would like to thank the amazing nurses and doctors at Parham Doctors’ Hospital and the staff at the Laurels of University Park for the care and nurturing services they provided.
Interment will be private with a celebration of life at a later date.
My heart is broken into 1000 pieces! Momma B was so special to all of us, but especially me. She welcomed me as her own son and I will always remember the love she gave to me! I love you, Nicholaus! We will get through this together!
I
Anna always had a spark and made you laugh! I count myself lucky to have been included on so many Buzzard family outings. Nicholaus – you and your Mom are in my heart. She loves you fiercely and that will go on forever. Thank you for sharing your wonderful parents with me and letting me be part of your family. I cherish those memories forever.
My Dearest Nick…… there are no words to express my deepest sympathy to you because my heart is breaking for you! In more ways than one, I truly understand the relationship you had with your Mom, and I know your grief is overwhelming. She was an amazing mother and such a loving woman! The depths to which she will be missed can not be imagined even now.
Words from an Ed Sheeran song did bring tears of consolation to my eyes after my Mom passed away in 2015….
“When God took you back, He said, ‘Hallelujah, you’re
home!’ “ (Supermarket Flowers). You will stay at the very top of my prayer list probably forever! I love you Nick!
Nicholaus,
Roni and I are very sorry for your loss. I know how close you were with your mom and have no doubt that you will cherish and always keep the many spectacular memories that you shared secure in your heart. We continue to send thoughts and prayers to you during this difficult time.
Beautiful person inside and out, she entrusted her baby boy to me to watch over the years and the memories live on. She was most proud of Nicholaus and would of been toward the end, a strong mother son bond that never failed. She will be missed and strong hugs to Nicholaus and Joe during this time.
There are no words

Nicholas, I have never met you as I moved out of state before you were born. I knew your mother , Annie and your dad Tom. Annie and I were in the same grade. I considered her my friend . I remember her and I walking around Cameron when we were 15. We were both tall and skinny. We couldn’t wait to get our license so we wouldn’t have to walk in hopes of putting on some weight. Lol.
My brother Don Cox was great friends with your Uncle Walter.

Nicholaus, my heart breaks for you, your best friend. I’ll always remember her siting with her glass of wine, shaking her head and rolling her eyes, letting us know she just didn’t know what to do with us. Then she’d just laugh, always loved to laugh. No matter how much time passed she always made it easy, picking up right where we left off. I love you both, you were the apple of her eye. I know she’ll always have your back, forever Here for dear friend, always.
So many spelling and grammar errors… she definitely would have let me know… gently, while rolling her eyes 🥲
