Augustine Gerard Bialkowski Jr.
Sept. 14, 1927 – Nov. 13, 2020
Augustine Gerard Bialkowski Jr. passed peacefully on Friday November 13, 2020 at the age of 93.
Jerry as he was known by his friends & family, was born September 14, 1927 in Richmond Virginia. Jerry is predeceased by his parents Augustine Gerard Bialkowski Sr and Ethel O’Connor Bialkowski and one sister Mary Francis Purcell. Jerry worked with his father at Richmond Glass Shop, and then became the President of the company. After retiring from the Richmond Glass Shop, Jerry moved to Florida to enjoy retirement until he returned to us 4 years ago. Jerry had 8 children, Gerard Bialkowski III (deceased), Michael Bialkowski (deceased), Charlie Bialkowski (Antoinette), Mary Claire O’Hara ( Mark deceased), Joseph Bialkowski (Lynn), Jayne Kirkland (Duane deceased), Leo Bialkowski (Kate), and Susan Womack (Gene). Jerry has 12 grand children and many great grand children. Our father was fortunate to have found love more than once. The first being our mother Therese G. Bialkowski (deceased February 21, 1971), Joan Lafratta, and Marilee Schabo (deceased July 22, 2009).
The children would like to acknowledge the following families for the kindness that they have shown us over the years. The Griffith’s, LaFratta’s, Schabo’s, as well as so many other special friends and families that are too many to mention. The children have asked in lieu of flowers, to send a Holiday card, to Our Lady of Hope Nursing Home C/O any Resident. This will brighten their day, during the Holidays. 13700 North Gayton Richmond Virginia 23233. Our father treasured spending his remaining years at Our Lady of Hope. There are so many special people at the Nursing Home that took such great care of our father, and we thank you.
Words cannot express the appreciation for the love & support from family and friends during this difficult time. We will miss our father; we take comfort knowing he is reunited with loved ones.
Until we see you again Daddy. We Love You!!!!!!!
Dad I want to thank you for the 53 years I was able to be your daughter. I could not have asked for a better Dad. Give Mom, Gerard, Mike and the rest of the family hugs and kisses from me. I love you and I will see you again. Your Baby Susie
So sorry for your loss.. I have so many amazing memories of your dad and all of you. Easter egg hunts at your house, listening to my dad and Jerry laughing, going to the river, and when you came up to visit us on Chesapeake street. You all are a part of our family and always will be. I know Jerry will be watching out over you. Sending hugs and prayers
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. May God bless you and your family with his peace during this time of grief.
What can I say, Jerry was the best. He was a constant in our lives. He was a wonderful friend to us. He was the brother my dad never had. We are so thankful for our Richmond family and all of the memories we have made over the years. Rest easy Jerry, give dad a hug from me. Love always from your Margie Bear!
Thank you so much for the many years you made my mom feel so loved and so happy. Thank you for being such a loving and adoring grandfather to my children. Thank you for being such a special part of our lives. You will be terribly missed but always loved and remembered.
So many wonderful memories of you with our kids — the only grandfather they ever knew. Thank you for always treating us like we were special. You will always hold a giant place in our hearts. Love you Jerry!
