Barbara “Butch” Herring
August 3, 1939 – November 8, 2023
Barbara “Butch” Herring, 84, of Mechanicsville received her wings on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Barbara retired from C&P Telephone. She was preceded in death by her father, Delma; her mother, Frances; and her sister, Pattie Withrow.
Survivors include her three brothers, Robert “Buddy” Herring (Donna), Charles “Chuck” Engle (Janie) and Garry Engle; her sister, Jenny Renalds (Marsden); numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14 at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. The family would like to give special thanks to Chuck and Janie for the loving care they gave Barbara for the past six months.
