Reverend Bertha M. Baskerville entered eternal rest and peace in Ivy, Virginia on February 3, 2020 at the age of 74. Bertha is survived by three brothers, Mr. Ivory L. Coleman, Jr., Mr. Clemento Coleman of Richmond, and Mr. Darryl Coleman of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Sheila Golden of Richmond and Ms. Jean Coleman of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Mr. Ivory L. Coleman, Sr., and Mrs. Mae Frances Coleman of Richmond, Virginia, and one sister Evangelist Diane Coleman Gordon of Richmond, Virginia. She leaves to cherish her legacy and memories with her five children, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and loving friends.
Bertha M. Baskerville was born on December 16, 1945 in Richmond, Virginia to Mr. Ivory L. Coleman, Sr., and Mrs. Mae Frances Coleman. Bertha received her early education in Washington, D.C.’ s public school system. During her young adulthood, she began working for Phillip Morris, Inc. where she later retired. As Bertha’s spiritual journey blossomed, in 1987, she became ordained as an Evangelist at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Then, in late adulthood she obtained a licensed as a Cosmetologist while living in Albemarle County.
