Bertram Antony Pryor-Battle-Christian departed this life on July 23, 2021. Bertram will always be remembered by his big, infectious smile. He was always the life of the party. He was funny and very intelligent. There was not a person who met him that did not like him.
He is survived by his husband, Charles Christian, his mother, Barbara Battle, his sister, Tracy Battle, and a host of other family and friends who will truly miss him.

I express my heartfelt condolences to Charles, Mrs. Battle, Tracy and all of us who mourn Bertram’s transition. He is now with our Lord and the ancestors. Having known him for 25 years as a close friend and book club member, he enhanced me. Loving, caring, very intelligent, empathetic and concerned about others are just some of the words I’ll use to describe him. May we use the legacy he left to improve our community.
I will miss you sooo much. You brought light and joy to every room you enteted. Rest well.

My heart jumps a beat each time I see a picture of Bert and realize that he is gone to his maker and that any sorrow I feel is only comforted by the knowledge that GOD looks at the heart and intensions of a MAN and that means that this guy in with the best, GOD the Father, GOD the Son and GOD the Holy Ghost.
