Bettie Blanks Richardson
March 13, 1935 – August 29, 2023
Bettie Blanks Richardson, 88, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was the eleventh child born to the late George and Millie Blanks of Alton, VA.
Bettie is survived by her son, Kenneth (Kathy); daughter, Darlene; and son Carl (Sharon). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Trina, Lauren, Stephen, Jamie, Jennifer, and David; and seven great-grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Cora, Levi, Micah, Adalyn, and Kinley along with many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Lipford, Mildred Overstreet, Ruby Roy, Christine Layne, Margaret Dawson, and Nancy Keever; and brothers, Richard, Jasper, Marshall, and Jessie Blanks.
Bettie was a long-time employee of CVS (Peoples Drug) after retiring she worked part-time for Target for many years.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the Spring Wing at Autumn Care of Mechanicsville for their loving care of Bettie for the last 18 months.
A graveside service will be conducted on September 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover, VA.

Aunt Peggy will be missed. But I know she is now resting peacefully.

Aunt Peggy has always had a special place in my heart. She was Daddy’s baby sister. I’m sending prayers for the family of comfort and peace. Rest in peace Aunt Peggy.,
