Beverly Ann McAllister
October 9, 1942 – November 6, 2023
Beverly Ann McAllister, 81, of Short Pump, Virginia, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, with her family at her side and in her heart. S
Beverly was born on October 9, 1942, in Andover, Massachusetts, to the late John and Lillian (Small) Winters. Two of her siblings, Suzanne and John, passed before her. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Church for most of her life.
Beverly was a loving and devoted wife of 59 years to her husband, John “Jack” McAllister. She is survived by her sons, John, Jim, Timothy, Terence, and Brendan; and her daughters-in-law Kathy, Gayle, Lisa, and Lee. She was a cherished grandmother to Georgia, Rowan, Randi, Liam, Lily, and Star; and a proud great-grandmother to Landon. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Ottaviani; brother Brian Winters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Beverly had a passion for knitting, spending countless hours creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. She also had an unexpected hobby, boxing, which she enjoyed as a way to stay active and release pent-up energy. Her uppercut was not to be underestimated! She and Jack enjoyed traveling to Ireland, among other places, and visiting the areas where her children chose to live.
A funeral and memorial service will be held at St. Michael’s Church in Glen Allen Virginia on Monday, November 13 with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony details will be arranged by the caring professionals at Affinity Funeral Service.
Beverly will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her memory, her laughter, her endless caring, and her wise counsel (“It will all work out in the end” was one of her sayings) will forever be cherished in our hearts.
