Brandon Jamal Baker, affectionately known as “B”, was born October 9, 1985 in Richmond, Virginia to Beverly Steward Baker and the late Willie E. Baker. Brandon gained his wings and was called home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2023 in Chesterfield, Virginia.
Brandon was educated in the Montessori private school program before he went on to attend Chesterfield County Public Schools. He matriculated at ECPI where he earned his degree in Computer Electronics and Technology. Brandon followed in his father’s footsteps when it came to sports and was an avid basketball and football player, earning many trophies and awards. He started his career in Electronics with Comcast and quickly moved up the ranks in his 15 years of service. He recently took a leap of faith and left Comcast to acquire his CDL to become an Owner-operator in the trucking industry. Brandon, who was an only child, had many loving friends whom he considered to be his siblings. Brandon was charming and a sharp dresser.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Willie E. Baker, paternal grandmother Mary L. Price, paternal grandfather Leroy Baker, paternal uncles Jerry L. Price, Sr. and Steven D. Price, maternal great-grandmother Minola Lankford, maternal grandmother M. L. Steward and maternal grandfather Cornell Steward. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Beverly Steward Baker of Chesterfield, VA, his loving, dedicated, significant other, Tiara of Chesterfield, VA, first cousins Karmen Price-Troy (James) of Lumberton, NC, and Jerry L. Price, Jr. (Keshawna) of Hampton, VA and Kristen D. Dillard (Wesley) of Charlotte, NC, a host of God parents, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11-11:30 AM with a service starting at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy. Richmond, VA 23294.

My deepest condolences to Beverly Baker and family in the loss of Brandon. He was such a sweet young man who grew up with my sons and many of the other sons and daughters in our neighborhood. We all will miss him and his warm gentle smile. Just heartbroken to learn of his sudden passing.
