Brenda Richardson Hill Phillips, 74, of Richmond, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Decatur Richardson, and her sister June Anita Richardson. She will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Ronnie Ingram; grandchildren, Elisa, Lucas, and Emily Ingram; sister Rita Mohler (Dick), brother Rich Richardson (Sharon), brother Tommy Richardson (Robin), many nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends.
Brenda was a devoted Christian, a loving and dedicated “Mema” to her grandchildren, the best birthday cake decorator, and loved by her avian companions.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1 from 6 to 8 pm at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. A private graveside service will be held for family members.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Ridge Baptist Church, 1515 Eastridge Road, Henrico, VA 23229 or to the American Cancer Society.
I will miss Brenda the most for her laughter as well as for her loyalty and dedication in all that she did. Her family meant the world to her and I am sending lots of prayers for help with their healing in this time of loss. I pray that you will have some comfort that she is no longer suffering and is pain free.

Over the past 20 plus years Brenda was a devoted CJ and EMC team member always taking on whatever task she was asked to do. She always looked forward to being a greeter at the Ed Davenport / John Woodfin Memorial Golf event each fall.
Brenda always had a warm smile and she openly shared her strong Christian faith with others which is testament to the special person that she was.
Wanda, Ronnie and family – I am so sorry for your loss. Brenda was such a sweet person and had a smile and a twinkle in her eye that you could remember long after she left the room.

It was a pleasure to have known Brenda these last 16 years. Brenda always a zealous for life, always smiling and always talking about her grandkids who clearly brought her so much joy. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. I pray your family finds the strength you need to endure through this difficult time.
