ROBSON, Brian P. After 31 years apart by her death, Brian P. Robson, reunited with his beloved Deannie in God’s eternity on May 8, 2017. Brian was born in 1921 to Leslie S. Robson and Jessie Caldwell Robson in Baxter’s Harbour, Nova Scotia. He became a U.S. citizen in 1932. Brian was raised in Brookline, Mass. He married Bessie Dean McConnell in 1946 in Richmond, Va., after his three-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. Brian and Deannie had three sons. Brian was predeceased by his parents, his wife; his second son, Edward S. Robson; and his younger brother, Paul Robson. He is survived by his sons, Brian P. Robson Jr. (Linda) and Leslie W. Robson (Sara); Ed’s wife, Denise; four grandsons, Rob, Mike, Jimmy and Greg; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Camden; and his special friend, Thelma Poegl. Brian retired from Reynolds Metals in 1987. He used to say, “If they want me to stop coming to work, they’d better park someone’s car in my parking place.” Brian enjoyed the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay and all of the bluefish in both. He loved wooden boats. Interment will be private for immediate family members only. A memorial service will be held at a later date and people special in his life will be notified. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond.
