Carol Farmer Rash passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. She was recently widowed by her husband of 46 years, Robert Franklin Rash, both of Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Carol is survived by her son, Raymond Scott Rash of Florida, and daughter Brittany Lynn Rash of Amelia, Virginia, daughter Wanda Rash-Koon of Oregon, and son, Mark Franklin Rash of Powhatan, Virginia.
Carol suffered from deep depression and a broken heart, at the age of 70, after the death of her late “Honey”, Bob. She succumbed to complications of a stroke she suffered more than 20 years ago. Carol loved her poodles from earlier years and most recently her adorable dog, Missy. Her favorite pass time was stitching and sewing gifts. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Beth-Paige campground, in Virginia, and she dearly loved her house and time at the beach in St. Augustine, Florida. Carol was extremely proud and excited to attend Brittany’s dance recitals and cherished the time she spent sewing and fixing team uniforms. She enjoyed going to Scott’s football games and cheering him on. Carol and Bob took great pleasure in their flower gardens and potted plants at every residence they lived.
A graveside service for Carol and Bob will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 25 at Westhampton Memorial Park.
