Carolyn I. Goethie
Jan. 10, 1975 – May 11, 2021
Carolyn Irine Goethie was born January 10, 1975 in Petersburg, Virginia to Irene Fells (Weaver) and Charles Fells. She attended Strayer University and ECPI University and was employed with the Department of Taxation until 2019, as a Tax Auditor. Carolyn worked as an Accountant and Bookkeeper. Carolyn loved making jewelry and enjoyed singing.
Carolyn dedicated her life to Jehovah on January 23, 1993. She enjoyed sharing her conviction with others. Despite dealing with declining health, Carolyn was known for her kindness and positive outlook on life.
Carolyn married Howard Edward Goethie on August 11, 2007. This marriage was blessed with one beautiful daughter, Carina Mariell who brought her so much joy and was the apple of her eye.
Those left to cherish Carolyn’s memories include her husband Howard and her daughter Carina of Richmond, Virginia. Her father Charles Fells of Petersburg, Virginia; one brother, Dominique Tyler of North Carolina; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother Irene Weaver, who’s favorite scripture was Isaiah 41:10, 13 which she shared with Carolyn throughout her life and this scripture especially brought Carolyn comfort during her illness.
We love Carolyn, and look forward to seeing her in the new world when we will not have to think about all the problems and suffering we had to endure in this world. We look forward to seeing Carolyn rejoin her daughter Corrina and once again enjoy the time spent together.
We love your family and look forward to working with Howard and Carina in this system right now!
With love,

Dear Howard, Carina and Family. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you. Nothing is more painful as death of a loved one; and nothing is more comforting than Jehovah’s words. He knows how painful your loss is and he will be with you and your family through the end of this system to help and comfort you. Soon he will return your lovely, healthy, vibrant loved one to you. Keep him close to you in prayer and he will sustain you. We are here if you need us.

To the Goethie family –
Our hearts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss. Carolyn always had a smile no matter what she was going though. I’ll always remember her beautiful singing and talent in making jewelry. She and Howard raised a beautiful, caring daughter Carina, and we will all try our best to be there for the two of them in any way we can. We all look forward to the time when “no resident will say ‘I am sick’.”
