Her bright and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Cathy was born on May 25, 1964, in Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Her first place of residence was an old family home in Henrico county off Staples Mill Road. At the age of two, she moved to Bellevue Avenue, where she attended Ginter Park school as a third-generation Kambourian pupil. In the 1st grade, she moved to King William County, Lanesville, Virginia. There she attended Hamilton Holmes Elementary School and then York Academy. In 8th grade, she moved back to north Richmond, Henrico County where she attended and graduated from Henrico High School in 1983. She went on to attend J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Having met her husband Marcus in Columbus Ohio, she spent much of her adult life living there.
Through her hospitable nature, Cathy spent much of her life serving good food, drinks, and advice to others, most recently at the Manchester Moose Lodge where she was both a member and employee. Cathy easily made lasting friendships with everyone she met. Her passion and knowledge of music provided a vibrant soundtrack throughout her life. She was also an expert craftswoman. The beautiful quilts, jewelry, hats, and scarves she created will continue to be enjoyed by those she loved…Enjoy the music in the sky sweet Cathy.
A memorial will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on December 28, 2022, at the Manchester Moose Lodge, 11110 Trade Road, Richmond, VA, 23236. Please share your favorite “Cathy” songs and/or photos with the family via [email protected].
