He will truly be missed. I enjoyed working with him. He was a great mentor.

oe and I are saddened to hear of Charles’ homegoing. Joe has fond memories of years past when he visited Pa (Duke Curry) and visited with Hal, Nancy and Charles. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We pray our Heavenly Father blesses you all with peace and comfort that only HE can provide.
Mr. Curry was such a sweet man! He will definitely be missed. Prayers for the family!

Nancy and I have lost a dear friend of 60 years. Charlie and I had a strong bond first formed at A&M in 1958. Over the years, that bond was strengthened, particularly by the fact that Charlie was such a NICE guy and the fact that we were both competitive shooters. It was great to often talk to Charlie on the phone and we treasured Charlie’s visits to Texas where we could spend time together. Charlie will be deeply missed. Until we meet again, old friend.

Rest easy friend. We’re marching in right behind the Band. Save us a place. We’ll see you again one day. Until we meet again. Gig ‘Em…. Lee and Winnie Kittrell
Nancy and I were saddened to hear of Charles’s death. We have fond memories of traveling and camping with Charles and his family. We had lost touch in recent years but I will always remember him as a good friend and always enjoyed our time together. May God’s peace be with the family he leaves behind. May we all enjoy the good memories of times spent with Charles. Rest in peace my friend. Dennis and Nancy Glazener

You’re taken your Corps trip, Charlie. It’s all easy now. We will miss you.
Just saw news of Charlie Curry’s passing in the T-D today. We were FB friends but I had no idea he’d not been well. My deepest sympathies to his family…Charlie was an integral part of what made mornings on WRVA so special during the Aaroe era. His Texas drawl and his expansive knowledge of what makes things grow helped his countless “students” make the most of their respective yards and gardens. I loved his clear and comfortable way of communicating such helpful information and his signature “The thing is…” that preceded every pearl of wisdom. Rest well Charlie…
I met Charles several years ago at a mutual friends home. Became good friends and found him to be one of the really good guys, especially when he was the master of the grill. RIP my friend Charlie, we all miss you at Boys Night Out.
Truly sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to serve with him for 24 years on the Soil and Water Board. He was always calm, and full of knowledge. Henrico has lost a valuable resident.
Our family is saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing. So many wonderful memories we share with his family and the kids when we were all younger. Charlie and his family were great next door neighbors. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family as they feel the void of his passing

The Finest Man I’ve Ever Known.
One of the best and nicest people to ever work for Virginia Coop Extension – an example and mentor to so many.
Charles was one of the finest men I’ve ever known. I will miss his smile and wit.
