Charles L. Riddle, 76, of Richmond, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Averett and Reva Riddle. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Noel Riddle; and his canine companion, Cassie. Services will be private.
Judy- I was sorry to see in this morning’s paper that Charles had passed away. His mother did alterations for my wife and me for years. She was a sweet lady and loved to talk about you and Charles. We moved to Richmond in 2017 from Wilmington,NC where I retired in 2002, so we are here if you need us for anything. We will keep Charles and you in our prayers and thoughts.
So very sorry to hear this. I worked with Charles for years. He was brilliant. My condolences to Judy and Cassie.
Judy, I was sorry to see that Charlie had passed away. I have often thought about him in the past years and will always remember the good times we had in college, both at Ferrum and RPI (now VCU).
Judy, very sorry to hear about Charles. While working with him for years, the thing that stands out was how nice and kind he was. Best wishes to you and Cassie.
Judy, very sorry to have seen Charles’ obituary today. I certainly enjoyed our few years working together at A. M. Pullen & Company (wow, how many years ago was that ??). I also recall his assistance in installing the mailbox at our first house. I wish you much comfort in the memories that 53 years must have instilled.
Dear Judy, I am so sorry to hear of Charles Lee’s passing. I will never forget the many kindnesses that you and your husband granted me years ago when I would come to your house to play with Pepe and Tiki. I cannot think of anything that could possibly be consolation to you but I will always look up to the two of you as role models and great partners in marriage. Matt Zipperer
I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope that your family finds comfort during this difficult time. Rev21:3,4
I remember Charles parents more than Charles. I grew up a couple houses from them in Hurt, Va. His parents were wonderful people. I remember Charles as their grown son who had already moved away I guess. So sorry to hear of his passing. One more thing about the family, his mother Reva was the local seamstress. People would buy a pattern and the material and she would produce a dress. Something out of the past.
Judy, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Charles. I think of you often and all the good times we had growing up and would love to see or talk to you. I remember him being a very nice guy and I’m sure you will miss him a lot. You have a lot of memories and he will always be with you looking over you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything I can do, just let me know.
Judy, Stunned to learn of Charles Lee passing. I am one of those Riddle cousins that remembers Charles Lee from our young years and family visits to his home in Hurt, VA. He was a wonderful cousin/friend and sorry I did not see him one more time. May you find peace, memories, and friends to comfort and hold you at this time of grief.
