Charles Paul McGaffic

January 19, 1955 – December 31, 2023

Charles Paul McGaffic, 68, of Mechanicsville VA passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Henrico Doctors Hospital – Forest.
Chuck was born on January 19, 1955, to Glenn(Bill) and Dorothy McGaffic in Hawaii. After graduating from Kecoughtan High School in 1973, he entered the workforce. Later in 1973, Chuck met his future wife Wanda Mae (nee Thomas) while they were both working at McDonalds. Chuck and Wanda went on to have two sons, Charles P. McGaffic II and Benjamin C. McGaffic. Chuck also adopted and rescued many dogs over his lifetime,
From a very early age, Chuck was an avid football fan with an emphasis on the  Green Packers. Chuck would record football games on a reel-to-reel tape recorder and send them overseas to his father who was serving in Vietnam.
Chuck bought his first motorcycle when he was 18 years old. From Honda to Harley-Davidsons to Norton to Triumph, Chuck owned and enjoyed motorcycles of all kinds. In his early teens, Chuck developed an interest in comic books that would later become an obsession lasting throughout his life, amounting to a vast collection of cards, books, and statues,
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Wanda, of 49 years; two sons Charles II of Henrico County VA, and Benjamin(Jerrinieca) of Newark, DE; and three grandchildren Nathan, Keagan, and Carter McGaffic. He is also survived by his brother. Glenn William Jr. McGaffic (Sharon) of Laurens, SC; his sister, Carol Alfter (Frank) of Beaver Creek, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family.
