Charles R. Putnam
August 21, 1947 – March 13, 2022
Charles Randall “Randy” Putnam, age 74 passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Janet, his two sons Jeff (Kathy), Kenny and two brothers Brad (Donna) and Shawn in addition to many nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Randy, knew he never met a stranger and he will be missed and loved by so many! He was proud to have served our country in the Army. Randy enjoyed his 20+ years of coaching baseball at Tuckahoe Little League and Freeman High School. He was an avid baseball fan, golfer, fisherman and all around animal lover.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 3 pm with a celebration of life service immediately following at 3pm Friday, March 18th at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294. Click here to view the livestreamed memorial service for Charles R. Putnam.
In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to Richmond Animal Care & Control, Tunnel to Towers Foundation or any youth charity you choose. Randy would be honored if you took a moment to speak to a stranger, share an act of kindness and maybe put a smile on someone’s face.
May the Lord comfort you in the days ahead and may your memories be sweet. Sincerely sorry for your loss – always Kit Haldeman Gosha
May his memory be eternal.
Our mother’s were besties in Russellville, Ky. before we were born. I stayed in touch with his mother Frances per fb till her death. I then reconnected with Randal only a few months ago but was unaware he was sick. Glad we got to reconnect after years. RIP Randal.
Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
