Cheryl Ann Reinecke
November 8, 1946 – July 7, 2023
Cheryl Ann (Bywaters) Reinecke, 76, of Midlothian, VA, formerly Williamsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, July 7, 2023, after a 32-year battle with cancer.
Although given a five-year survival rate when diagnosed in 1991, she redefined the definition of strength and courage and was able to watch not only her son and daughter build their families and careers, but also brag about her four grandsons and niece endlessly. She was so proud of them all.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Helen Bywaters, and brother-in-law, Hank Franklin.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele McTague (Matt); son, Richard Reinecke (Heather); grandchildren, Scottie, Ryan, Parker, and Jordan; sister, Suzie Franklin; and niece, Katherine Seaberg.
A Memorial Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
