After a long hard battle with dementia, Christina Watson Brooks, 71, of Henrico County, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Autumn Care of Mechanicsville.
Christina’s four children, grandchildren, sister, and daughter-in-law were all by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Brooks, her mother, Marie V. Watson; and her father, Robert E. Watson.
Christina was born in Rotterdam, Holland to Robert E. Watson and Marie V. Watson. She grew up with three sisters. Yvonne (Cathi), Renee, Nanette (Bobby), and one brother Rob (Adrien). She married William L. Brooks in April of 1971 and had four kids whom she loved with every fiber of her being. Christopher (Michele), Stacie (Steve), Jamie (James) Snead, and Jeremy (Andraya). Miss Christy was one-of-a-kind and it was a pleasure working together at Saxon. Condolences to her family ❤️
Enjoyed Christine as a neighbor. She was alway kind and we enjoyed our moments together.
I’ll never forget all of the laughs we shared working at Saxon Shoes. She was always so helpful, caring, patient, and loving. Christy truly had a heart of gold and I’m grateful for every moment I was able to share with her.
Thinking of the whole family as they mourn such a difficult loss.
Our deepest condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.
Miss Christy was one of the first people I met working at Saxon and she always made me feel welcome. One of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. She will be missed by all of people she impacted by her caring heart.
