Obituary message
Jones, Christopher W., 47, passed away on July 9, 2017. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Tammy Jones and their sons Justin Jones (26) and Carson Jones (18), as well as many close family members and friends. Chris was a devoted husband and a loving father. He will be best remembered for his warmth, humor and outgoing personality. He was a wonderful friend to all and left a positive impact on everyone that he met. Chris lived each day to the fullest, making every moment special for him and those around him. He could bring light into a room, making it brighter and filling it with laughter. Chris could make someone he just met feel as though they had been lifelong friends. His passion was working with wood; a 3rd generation master carpenter by trade, he enjoyed building and tinkering in his shop. He enjoyed spending time on the James River making memories with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family will receive friends from 11am-2pm on Saturday, July 15th at the Round House in Byrd Park.

Chris you always had a way making me feel so loved. Your smirky grin, your bear hugs, your words. I would have loved more time on earth with you. You made it a better place. I will miss you and I will hold tight (your words) to Billy for you and kiss his forehead from time to time. Love you always!
