Cynthia Carol Bradford Foster
May 23, 1959 – January 11, 2021
Carol Foster, 61, of Emporia, Virginia passed away on January 11, 2021, at Bon Secours Memorial Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA.
Carol was always first to greet you with a great big smile that warmed your heart. Her laugh was so vibrant and contagious; you could hear it across a crowded room. She was sort of a wild spirit who loved to laugh and have fun, but also had a big heart and was the first to do anything she could for someone. Her type of personality is the kind that just leaves a mark on you. She had the funniest sense of humor and was always quick to compliment you, making you feel very special. She praised and loved God and trusted Him to carry her through all trials and tribulations. She will be truly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Nicole Foster; her sister, Betty Motley; her brothers, Mike and Bobby Bradford; niece Tara Whitt (Darin); nephew, Michael Motley (Gabby); great niece, Sofia Motley; and great nephew, Brayden Flye. She was preceded in death by her father, James Horace Bradford, Jr.; mother, Mary Medlin Bradford; paternal grandparents, James Horace Bradford, Sr. (Pearl Pittman Bradford); maternal grandparents, Walter Medlin (Lala Medlin); uncles, Joseph and Watts Bradford; and maternal aunts, Frances Riddle and Irene Perry.
There will be a celebration of her life sometime next month when family and friends can gather safely.

Very sad. Please accept our condolences. I recall working with Carol back in the Nortel years. Always enjoyed it when she came up to Canada for work, and I always enjoyed my visits to Raleigh. Carol made working fun!
We were lucky to have her come visit with us in our home a couple of times and we were able to pop down to North Carolina once for a visit. We will remember Carol as a great friend!
