Cynthia Estelle Jackson

January 7, 1951 – February 26, 2023

Cynthia Estelle Jackson, born on January 7, 1951, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the age of 72 in her home of Richmond, Virginia.

Cynthia was a beloved woman born to Elwood Jackson, Sr., and Estelle Mayo Jackson, who both preceded her in death.

To spread her love and carry on her traditions, she leaves in our care two daughters, LaVonia Denise Jackson, and Mica LaVon-Amber Saber; two grandsons, David Emmanuel Prado, and Nigel Amir James; two granddaughters, Maria Denise Melton (Dell) and Amina Estelle Saber; and one great-granddaughter, Lelani Marianna Melton; five siblings, Vernoise F. Jackson (Carolyn), Eric U. Jackson, Elwood (Jack) Jackson, Jr. (Linda), S. Marietha (Jackson) Easley (Van Sr.), and Donald G. Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all love her dearly.

After graduating from John Marshall High School, Cynthia continued her education and earned degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Computer Technology, and Biblical Studies. Cynthia enjoyed learning, laughing and certainly was creative. However, Cynthia was most proud of her children, often stating, “God gave me two beautiful daughters and I’m blessed”.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294

Our deepest condolences to the Jackson Family,

The Fleming family (Cheryl and Butch) would like to offer their deepest condolences to the Jackson Family. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Cynthia Estelle Jackson. We knew her from “Back in the Day” when she lived on Woodrow Ave. on the “Northside”. She was like a loving older sister to us and we cherish the memories. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. May your memories bring you comfort.

My prayers goes out to you LaVonia and Mica. You had a wonderful mother who love you unconditionally . To the Jackson family, Cynthia was a good friend to both my wife
N ettie ( who is now with the Lord) and I. We loved Cynthia like a sister. She loved to cook and was very good with arts and crafts. I will miss her and her willing to help others. Her suffering is over and now she can rest in peace. Rest in peace Cynthia. To be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. We will meet you in the resurrection.
