Truly a selfless and God fearing woman. We will miss her dearly. She served faithfully in local and foreign missions activities at Walnut Grove and the Children’s Learning Center. God has gained an Angel.

Always appreciated her wonderful spirit & courage. Enjoyed working & worshipping.
So glad Rose & I got to spend some time with her and served communion to her. She was a familiar face at WGBC and she was so proud of you. Your name always brought a smile to her.
Laura, I am so sorry for your loss. It can be extremely difficult to lose our mothers. I pray that God will comfort you and ease the sorrow. Cynthia would tell the story, when you were born, she made a decision to serve God for the rest of her life. And she surely did. She truly followed Jesus. She never hesitated to talk about her faith in God. She did it freely and endlessly. Cynthia served the church with amazing dedication. If you needed lots of help, Cynthia was there for you. She would complete any task asked of her. She served in the Walnut Grove Baptist choir some 33 years. She served in the DRW recovery program for 15 years. And she had career employment serving the children learning center for more years than I can count. I heard her say many times how grateful she was to God for her job…That he put her in the right place at the right time. And Laura she loved you deeply. Many times she spoke of how much she wanted you to be born. To Cynthia, you were the greatest gift from God. And so she promised to serve God for the rest of her life in gratitude for you. I don’t know anyone who was more ready to enter the gates of heaven!
Laura, we are sorry to hear about your loss. We enjoyed our friendship with Cynthia through the years. She was a wonderful woman!
Sorry to hear of Cynthia’s passing, worked with her at Crestar Mortga.ge, prayers are with you
