
David Patrick Lenz
March 30, 1964 – January 22, 2023
David Patrick Lenz beloved son, brother, and friend, 58 of Chesterfield Virginia passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, while in the care of his family.
Patrick, to his family, is survived by his sister Paulette Amory (Jeff); nephews Ross and Darin Amory; sister Dineen Fender (Mike); nephew Monty Fender; nieces Lauren Streagle (Adam Strylowski) and Kelly Miller (Kenny); Grand nephew Landon; grand nephews Keagan, and Koen; and grand-niece Katrina. He was preceded in death by his father, David, and mother Alyse.
David was a gifted vocalist and pianist. He received his bachelor’s in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. He performed with The Colonial Singers, in many theater productions, and in his beloved choir at his church, St. Mark’s Episcopal in Richmond Va. He also worked in the Virginia State Tax Department as an offer-in-compromise specialist for many years.
David was the heart of compassion. He had a quick wit and a generous spirit. Although his life was too short, David gave all those around him warmth from his light.
A memorial will be held at 3 p. m. on Saturday, February 4, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 520 Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, Va. 23220. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to the Amyloidosis Foundation (amyloidosis.org).
How did I get so lucky to have such a great friend? Thank you for a lifetime of friendship and memories I will cherish always.
I have known David since he was a teenager. He was like a son to me . I love him and will miss him. I will remember him with fondness always.
David was one of the dearest friends I have or will ever have in this life. His memory will forever be etched in my heart. Rest in peace Daviow!!!🙏❤️🎶
