
David S. Hebner
May 17, 1949 – June 17, 2022
David S. Hebner of Mechanicsville, VA passed away peacefully in his home on June 17, 2022.
He was born in Richmond, VA on May 17, 1949 (five minutes before Earl).
David was passionate in everything he did. His belief in hard work and diligence created an inherent ability to succeed. David began work at the age of eight at Richmond Concessionaire.
He fought for his country during the Vietnam War and was awarded The Army Commendation Medal for saving lives.
David worked as a referee and agent for 25 years with The WWE, where his compassion, love and virtue touched many lives. He truly enjoyed traveling and meeting people from all walks of life. His ability to talk to anyone and never forgetting the little man was the secret to his success.
Not only a talent agent for celebrities he became an agent for charity. A true hometown man, he was always ready to volunteer or help his community.
David would tell anyone that his greatest achievement in life was his family. He was never happier than when he was with his girls.
David leaves behind to hold his memory and love in their heart, beloved wife of 53 years Rebecca J. Hebner; children, Christina Hebner and Rebekah; cherished twin baby brother, Earl Hebner; two precious granddaughters, Katelynn and Mckayla Sparks; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.
He will be missed and never forgotten living in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Affinity Funeral Service – Mechanicsville Chapel, 8074 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Family will be receiving guests at their home after the service.

I am not sure which memory of Dave to savor most, that of a grand friend or of one of the great characters I’ve known. In truth, it does not matter, as my memory of him is indelible! I have lost a friend, but not the memory. I am thankful he passed my way. RIP my friend!

I remember him from when my mother and I would go to see wrestling matches so now I can put in my history book I’ve taken care of someone very famous. Keeping you and the family in my prayers as you go threw this difficult time.

So sorry to hear the unexpected news of Dave’s untimely death. I consider Dave, brother Earl, Rebecca and Daughters to be top notch individuals and good friends. I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. My heart goes out to Christina and the entire Hebner family. I always enjoyed visiting their home, and Dave always made me feel like a member of the family. I’m sorry we lost touch so many years ago, as time and life just passed us by, but I always will treasure the many memories that were made.
