Boyd, Deborah Virginia, “Dee” 64 of Richmond, VA departed this life August 7, 2017, after a lionhearted battle with pancreatic cancer. “Never Give Up, Never Surrender.” She is survived by her mother, sister, and four brothers. Dee retired from Altria, so proud to wear a red badge. Dee also provided IT leadership to the Virginia State Board of Elections, Overnight Transportation, Central Fidelity Securities, and BISYS Brokerage Services. Dee enjoyed knitting, jewelry marking, gardening, and live shows. Dee was an accomplished cook and a well-traveled foodie. Her favorite happy hour, a frosty craft mug with a plate of Rappahannock Olde Salts.
Dee touched many people both at and away from work, showing consideration and compassion on any topic with every project. She was talented, open- minded, and patient with all persons. Anyone whom experienced her was left with an enlighten view afterwards.
Dee was dedicated to animal rescue. Her yard was a bird sanctuary. She was a member of the ASPCA. Contributions may be made in her honor to ASPCA.org
