Delmer “Buck” Carroll Taylor, 81, of Chesterfield, passed away at his home on October 5, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born November 28, 1935 in Whitetop, VA and resided in Chesterfield, VA until his death. Buck attended Emory & Henry College as well as served in the Army and Air Force. Always a hard worker, he was dedicated to his career as a manufacturing engineer. Upon retirement, he continued working part time until he was no longer able. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Carol Taylor, and his daughters, Holly (Todd) Dvorak of Charlotte, NC, Angela Rorrer of Chesterfield, VA, and Dawn (Louis) Seay of Midlothian, VA. He was the grandfather to Zachary Dvorak of Seattle, WA, Joshua Dvorak and Jonathan Dvorak of Charlotte, NC, Jacob Seay of Conway, SC, Noah Rorrer of Henrico, VA, and Benjamin and Madilyn Seay of Midlothian, VA. His final resting place will be the place he always called home, Whitetop Mountain, where his ashes will be spread by his family.
