Denise Davis Peterson
February 16, 1956 – September 24, 2023
Denise Davis (Neecee) Peterson, 67, of Richmond, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1956, and lived her whole life in Richmond, Virginia. Denise graduated from Virginia Tech in 1978 with a B.S. in Biology. Following graduation, she worked for the Henrico County Water Board before deciding to stay home and raise her children.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vernon, and Elizabeth Hadder Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Lindsey Peterson Baker and husband, Keith of Virginia Beach, VA; Blake Elaine Schrader and husband, Kyle of Charlotte, NC; and Molly Carter Peterson of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Lennon and Charlie Schrader, and Koy Baker; sister Dianne D. Waller of Richmond, VA; brother Robert V. Davis, Jr. and wife Sherry of Ashburn, VA; nieces and nephews.
As an avid reader, she amassed a large library of mystery novels including all the works by James Patterson. She was a gifted cook, always happy to prepare a meal for anyone who walked through the door.

You will be dearly missed! You were the first friend I met when we moved onto our house in Beverly Hills in 1962. I have thought about you over the years! We played together a lot. We sure did love to play “dress ups” in old clothes. We would parade up and down the street.
