September 8, 1965 – August 29, 2022
Don Lewis “Ruddy” Hanlin Jr., 56, of Baltimore passed away August 29, 2022, in Mineral, VA.
Survivors included his father, Don Hanlin Sr.; sister, Donna Hanlin Trout; brother, Matt Trout; two nieces, Hope Trout and Holly Trout; his girlfriend, Carol Thomas; and too many friends and family to count. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Ann Hanlin.
Ruddy loved concerts, fishing, playing cards and eating crabs with his girlfriend’s family, and just spending time with all his friends, old and new.
His jobs included Hermitage Steel, Roberson Saw & Tool where he worked closely with his long-time friend, and he was a lifetime waterman. He loved the water and watching the sun rise and set while on the crab boats. His happy time was on the water with a beer in one hand and a rod in the other. He loved the calm and peace fishing gave him.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 6 pm Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Commodore Event Hall in Essex Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, make a donation to a local church, shelter, or food bank in his name.
