Donald Ray Lohr, 90, of Powhatan, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Bercelia Lohr, his brothers Jack Lohr, Kenneth Lohr, Dale Lohr, and David Lohr; his sisters, Dorris Wood, Mary McCasland, and Margaret Skeeters; his son, Ronald Lohr and daughter Shelia Perryman.
He is survived by his brothers, William Lohr of Kilgore, Texas, Earl Lohr of Kilgore, Texas, Larry Lohr of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Garland Lohr of Highpoint, North Carolina; his sister, Judy Johns of Longview, Texas; his son John Lohr (Sharon) of Powhatan, Virginia; and his daughters, Sandra French of Richmond, Virginia, Jane Perryman of Powhatan, Virginia, and Carrie Lohr of Beaverdam. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donald was a retired truck driver and diesel mechanic. He loved listening and playing bluegrass music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the grandchildren play.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13 at Passion Community Church with a reception to follow.
