
Douglas Allen Taylor
June 26, 1958 – June 11, 2023
Douglas Allen Taylor, 64, also known to many as Doug, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Taylor; his children, Christopher Taylor (Crystal) and Samantha Taylor (Elliot); his sisters, Delores Storey (Jim) and Debbie Neering (Dennis); his grandchildren, Abigail, Grace, and Sophie, all of whom will cherish their memories with Papa; and his nieces and nephews.
Doug had the biggest personality, worked with his hands as a lifelong auto mechanic, never met a stranger, and told the best jokes.
There will be a celebration of life at 2 pm Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 12216 W River Rd, Aylett, Va 23009. BYOB.

I will never forget him and always loved him.
I’ve always been so thankful for the childhood I had growing up, and Doug and his family were a HUGE part of that. I lived within walking distance of their house, and his daughter Sam is my best friend to this day. Doug was always working on a vehicle, and I’ll never forget the blue race car he had with taz on the side. When he wasn’t working on a vehicle, or getting into something reckless, lol, he was in his favorite spot on the couch, watching the race.
He was such a fun guy to be around, and his laugh is what I will always remember. You will missed Doug!
We are so sorry for your loss. Doug had a contagious laugh that will never be forgotten.

I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. However the stories he and life he leaves behind will be in conversation for a very long time. What I have gathered from close friends to the family :
He lived a good life and and enjoyed some wild rides. And was one helluva mechanic. Rest easy Doug 🙏🏼
Always had a smile and made ya laugh , great guy .will be missed.
