Edith “Marie” Siever

Edith “Marie” Siever, 83, of Quantico, VA passed away on September 04, 2023, following a brief illness. Marie was born on February 17, 1940, in Prince William County, Virginia to Alexander and Ola Catherine (Beavers) Riley. She grew up in Pender, VA, and attended Herndon High School.
Marie was a skilled seamstress and loved sewing for her family and friends. She enjoyed canning from the garden and baking from scratch. One of her favorite pastimes was bowling. She was on a league in Fredericksburg, VA for many years and held the highest average for the women.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Margaret Riley, Frances Woods, Senie Hawkins, Jean Hooker, Arlene Patterson, and Linda Riley; and her brother, James Riley.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Kenneth (Janet) Siever and Meade (Terri) Siever; her daughter, Cynthia Martin; her sisters, Janet King and Vanessa Riley; her brother, Franklin Riley; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to VITAS Hospice, the staff of Belmont Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Woodbridge, VA, as well as, Affinity Funeral Service in Richmond VA for their support during this difficult time.

The picture I see here is exactly how I remember her, she was such a sweet lady and will be dearly missed, my thoughts and prayer are with the family, Cindy and Meade, I pray for you two.. love you guys
