Edmond Cornell Johnson, 83, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

Ed was born in Anderson, South Carolina and served in the Armed Services, and received an honorable discharge in 1968. While living in Chesterfield he owned his own business doing home repair and construction. He loved gardening, cooking, and woodworking. He also enjoyed debating politics, philosophy, and going to the movies.

He was preceded by his mother, Myrtle Johnson, and his father, Cornell Johnson.

He leaves his wife, Brenda Johnson; daughter, Allison Johnson; sister, Deborah Johnson; brother Thomas Johnson; nephew Roland Johnson and his wife, Pam Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Affinity Funeral Service, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294.
