Edward “Ed” Alvin Vaughan
June 12, 1935 – October 15, 2021
Edward “Ed” Alvin Vaughan, 86, of Beaverdam, Va., went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2021. He was born June 12, 1935 in Richmond, Va.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Alvin Vaughan and Vivian Brown Vaughan; one brother, Kenneth Ashton Vaughan; one sister, Jean Vaughan Seay; and one daughter, Elizabeth Vaughan Jones. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy Lloyd Vaughan; daughter, Linda Allen (Dan); son, Michael Vaughan; one sister-in-law, Miriam “Teeny” Lukhard Vaughan; five grandsons; two granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Ed graduated from Hermitage High School in 1953. He was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for over 60 years. Ed was a successful food broker. He enjoyed playing golf, wood-working, drawing, gardening and singing. He was a Christian who lived life with a strong faith and love for his Lord, family and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at Noon Friday, October 22 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059 with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm.

Mr. Vaughan is now singing with the angels! I’m sure my Dad , sister and others were there to meet him at Heavens Gate!
