Hello. My name is Anthony Howard. Maintenance technician at Trophy Club. I heard about his passing today. He was a good friend and one of my favorite residents. Whenever he and I met, he always had something funny to tell me. Made me laugh every time. Mr. Edward will be sorely missed. I just wanted to extend my condolences to Mrs. Maynard and the family.
Very sorry to hear about Ed’s passing. I always looked forward to Ed showing up for our carving group on Wednesday’s . He was GREAT to be around. Edward was sorely missed when he moved away. My condolences to Mrs. Maynard and the family.

We here in Greensboro, NC on Buckhorn Road mourn Ed’s passing, too. David and I were very, very fortunate to land next door to the Maynards, back in 1998. Ed and David enjoyed many a ‘stoop’ visit, where problems of the world were solved, and often. Ed, David and several other neighborhood ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) gathered often for breakfasts at local eateries, entering and rating each one in a guide book to local diners and dives :-). Ed’s humor matched David’s, and our many neighborhood gatherings over the 20+ years we were neighbors were always lively and community-building . Ed and his wife Carole were helpful and supportive all the years we were neighbors, and we responded in kind. Ed had an avid appreciation for books, movies and history — all subjects dear to David’s heart — and Ed’s curiosity and enjoyment of classical music endeared him to me. Love and light to you all — Carole, Doug, Laura, Chase and Logan.
…..and Harper!!!!!
He was a very kind and funny man !
Ed was a great neighbor and friend and Wes and I had many fun times with he and Carole. He will be missed by everyone. God Bless his children and grandchildren! He will not be forgotten.
Ed was a very loving special man. His wit and love of all, especially of his beloved dogs, was magnanimous. I have had the pleasure of meeting the family and enjoying many fine times. God speed Ed. There is another angel in heaven. Prayers to Carole,Laura,Harper, Doug,Logan and Chase.
