Ella Marie Edwards Snavely  It is with deep sadness that her family announces her sudden passing on Sunday,  October 1, 2023, at the age of 48.

She is preceded in death by her father, James, her mother, Shirley; and her brothers, James and Thomas.

Ella is survived by her loving husband, John; children Heather Marie Washington (Snavely) and Tim Wayne Snavely; grandchildren Prince and Roman; and son-in-law Deion Washington. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Ella was born in Virginia and went to Patrick Henry High School. She lived in the heart of Ashland her entire life and was a local to the community. Ella was a very family-centered woman but also opened up her heart and home to anybody who came her way. She was a mother to many and loved by more. Ella had a way of making people smile in any situation. If you had the pleasure of meeting Ella, you surely understand the weight of losing this admirable woman. She will be remembered as a sweet and kind-hearted soul with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 at Ashland Church of God 407 Myrtle St, Ashland, VA 23005.
