Ellen Monica Parker
May 22, 1969 – December 6, 2022
Ellen Monica Parker, 53, of Highland Springs, VA, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, and received her angel wings. Waiting to greet her were her husband, John; her parents, Harvey Melton and Regina McCracken; and grandparents, Nana Parker, Rose, and Bobby Richmond, and Winifred and Harry Locke.
Ellen is survived by her brother, Matthew Melton and Andrew Melton (Whitney and Claire); her mother-in-law, Sharon (Curly) Walton, who treasured Ellen as a friend long before she became her beloved daughter-in-law; her brother-in-law, Shawn Martin (Lisa, Blake, and Presleigh); and those she cherished and kept in her heart, Johnny and Gracie Ho, Bryleigh Grace Oxley and Jacob and Michelle Cahoon. Ellen leaves behind so many more family and friends, all of whom she loved and touched deeply.
Ellen loved her fairies and Tinkerbell. She loved to bake. She loved being at the beach. She loved helping everyone she could. If you needed anything, she would find it for you. She had a flair for decorating that she loved to share. So many people benefited from her kind, loving, and tender caregiving skills.

Ellen meant so much to so many people. I hope she knew how loved she was. She played a very important part of my life in middle school and high school. I pray she is at peace. Love you sweet Ellen.
There are not enough words to explain the grief I have felt with hearing about your passing. This year has cut me to the core with losing you and Jp. Me and the girls will miss you so much.I especially will miss coming to visit you and having our conversations for hours on end.I knew that I could always call or come over and you’d always be there with a warm smile and open home.Everyone knew coming over to hang out that there was always gonna be good times lots of laughter and always a warm plate of food.No matter what you and Jp always had my back and believed in me,even when I didnt even believe in myself and I will forever be grateful for that. You taught me so much and made a major impact on my life.Im so honored to have been able to have met you both and have spent the last few years around you.I can only hope that someday I will at least be half the woman you were..I will always miss your motherly love and guidance.I know you are soo happy now that you and Jp are back side by side. Please watch over us all and I cannot wait for the day I can reunite with the both of you again.Until Then,Love always and Forever,Chelsey aka “John Jr.”as you’d say!
