I’m just one of many missing you. No more late-night cups of coffee while we sit and plot and plan and reminisce and try to figure out the world. You always had my back and I love you for your friendship. We’ll meet again someday, on the other side. Keep the light on for me for me buddy, I’ll be there soon. If possible maybe we’ll have another cup of coffee and pick a tune or two.
“May the good Lord bless and keep you, till we meet again”. Rest in peace my brother!
RIP GENE! Prayers for his family.

Take your tears to God.
I guess it was about a year ago when there was a killer whale named Tlequah that gave birth and new hope for the future of the endangered killer whales. But the calf lived for less than an hour. In a show of grief that was watched by many people around the world, Tlequah pushed her dead calf through the cold Waters of the North Pacific Ocean for 17 straight days before letting go of her.
Sometimes, we as believers in Jesus, have a hard time knowing what to do with grief. Perhaps we fear that our sorrow might look like a lack of hope. But the Bible gives us many examples of humans crying out to God in grief. Lament and hope can both be part of a faithful response.
Lamenting and letting go of a loved one can be one of the hardest things we will ever have to do. My comfort is experienced only when we realize, “Gene is alive and well in the depths of our hearts”.

Semper Fi Uncle, Semper Fi…
Thanks for the memories, Gene Benson. And for your beautiful smile. Your kindness will never be forgotten, my friend. Agape.
Have a party for us up there Uncle Gene! We love and miss you every day, and we will never forget that smile of yours. Until we meet again… Rest peacefully
There are not enough words to express the sadness and sorrow in my heart. To know I’ll never see you or hug you again on this earth hurts so bad. The fact that you were always there, laughing and loving all of your family will be something I hold onto forever. Your songs are an echo of what once was the beauty of the music you shared, your smile is embedded in my brain, your love remains in my heart and soul. I miss you so much, but your strength while you were ill shows the undeniable ability to fight to the end. You fought a good fight, you gave it your all. I’m so sad and angry that this virus took you. I’ll never forget you… Ever!!! Please give my love to grandma, grandpa, Michelle, Uncle Ed, Aunt Effie, Aunt Sally and Aunt Carol and don’t forget Bear, I miss him too. Now you’re having a family reunion…. I miss you all, I’ll see you when it’s my turn. Rest in peace Uncle Gene… Till we can meet again, and jam in heaven for a real reunion. I miss you all more than I can ever say.
Rest in peace Mr. Benson. My deepest condolences to Bob,Tom and family
