
George Edward Butler, Jr.
January 19, 1972 – February 5, 2022
George “JimBob” Edward Butler, Jr., age 50, of Ruther Glen, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Mechanicsville, VA surrounded by family and friends by his side.
George was born on January 19, 1972 in Richmond, VA, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He worked at different lumber mills and loved working on vehicles, especially his Toyota truck which was his pride and joy. He also loved listening to his music and having bonfires in his backyard. George had a passion for children and his cat “Precious” and wherever George went he never met a stranger and would gladly help you out in any way that he could. He was one of a kind and had an outgoing personality which will never be forgotten.
George is survived by his sister, Theresa Butler Richardson (Keith) of Troy, VA; one niece, Alisha Richardson, of Louisa, VA; two nephews, Jeffrey Richardson II, of Mineral, VA, and Devin Richardson (Ariel) of Virginia Beach, VA; and a lifetime love/soulmate, Janet Unger of Mechanicsville, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and George Butler; and son, Ian Butler.
Interment will be private.
Brother, We been through a lot from a childhood..but stuck together.. No matter what… I love and miss u.. I just don’t know what I am going to do with out u now.. Who going call me sis or call me and fuss at me or tell me when u done something.. He done alot… I remember when we were kids from now.. He love and would do for everybody before he would at home… He was always busy…. When ur son Ian came in ur life.. I don’t know who was more child.. He was ur life… There so much I could say.. I have so many memories of us and what we done … fly high brother.. I love u forever and always…. Ur sis always…
My Jimbob, my Love 💓 and my Heart. There couldn’t possibly be anyone in this world to take your place. You have brought me so much happiness, love, and laughter since I’ve known you through the tears of joy and pain. You were always by my side whenever I needed you. I’m going to miss our daily phones calls during the day & nights but most of all the “I love you’s.” . You will always be in my heart and on my mind everyday. I will never forget your smile or your laughter my love. So may memories we have shared that I hold dear to me, dancing in the rain, sitting together at night watching the stars and now you are up there with them. Fly high baby til we meet again!
