George Peter Klecak

May 16, 1956 – October 18, 2023

George Peter Klecak, 67, of Chesterfield, Virginia, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Born on May 16, 1956, in Hollis Queens, New York, and raised in North Babylon, George was a man of few words with a heart of gold. He would give the world to anyone he loved. George was known for his selflessness and ability to connect with any animal. He always seized the opportunity to take in a stray critter. He possessed a genuine love for trips to the mountains with his wife, sweet treats, 70’s sitcoms, movies starring Bruce Willis, and Rock n Roll. George’s music taste spanned from Aerosmith to Kid Rock, Eminem, and DMX. Brewing, distilling, and fermenting were amongst some of his favorite hobbies, as well as canning. He also had a passion for classic high-powered American muscle cars and cherished holidays like July Fourth, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Above all else, George had a deep love for his family. His world revolved around his wife, children and grandchildren.

George is survived by his loving wife, Cecilia; and his daughters, Jessica, Jenny, Claudia (Cory), and Charleen (Michael); his stepsons, Wayne (Jessica) and Jonothan (Rachel); as well as his brother, Mark Klecak; and sister, Debra Klecak. George adored his grandchildren, Brody, Evan, Mark, Kendal, Kasen, Josephine, Lucas, Oakley, Coy, Raina, and Colt. Additionally, he leaves behind a large number of extended relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.

George Klecak was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Klecak; and his grandparents, George and Dorothy Klecak.

A proud veteran, George served in the Air Force. His military service was a testament to his dedication and commitment to his country. Professionally, George was a skilled mechanic. He excelled in his career, utilizing his technical expertise (and often, a fair share of zip ties and duct tape) to help others.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in George’s honor to the Richmond SPCA. Donations can be made online at https://richmondspca.org/how-you-can-help/donate/honor-a-loved-one/.

George Peter Klecak will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his family, friends, and the impact he made in his community. George, you were truly one of a kind, a remarkable and gentle soul, and you will be missed but never forgotten.
