Georgia Lynn Gryder, 52, of Dinwiddie County died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her home with her husband by her side.
Georgia loved the Lord and served Him faithfully with everything she did. For more than five years she sang in the Christian Band “Shield of Faith Praise Band” which she co-created with her husband. Georgia was truly a devoted wife and loving friend, sister and mother whose unwavering faith and devout trust in her God remained steadfast to the end.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Gryder; her father, Charles Boswell and his wife, Nancy; her mother, Carolyn Weeks and her husband, John; three sons, Adam Gauldin, Ryan Gauldin and Patrick Gauldin; three step-daughters, Cary Wallace, Maggie Gryder, and Emma Gryder; grandchildren Alex Gauldin, Allyson Gauldin, Zoe Gauldin, Mia Martinez, Evan Wallace, and Avery Galloway; two sisters, Charlotte Webb and Sandra Gauldin, and sister-in-law, Treva Fronk.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Destiny Church, 11930 Old Stage Road, Chester, Virginia 23836. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to Destiny Church Building Fund in honor of Georgia Gryder. Casual attire please.
Daniel, I am so so sorry for your loss. Georgia was a beautiful person inside and out. As you already know, she has no more pain and suffering. Cherish the memories.

Daniel, you have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your wife. I pray that God will give you peace and comfort at this difficult time in knowing that God only wants the best from His Garden. His word says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so just know that Georgia is at peace, safe in the arms of God.

My condolences during this difficult time. You do not know me but my brother Scot sang with your wife in Shield Of Faith. We recently lost our son and are walking right there with you.
