My Aunt Gloria was an exceptional woman of virtue and excellence. Auntie loved deeply, and she would let you know that with her beautiful smile, warm hugs, and sparkingly eyes. Auntie lit up every room she entered. I’ll remember our times together when I was little, she would keep me while my mom was sick and my dad would be at work. Auntie would cook me Cream of Wheat (my favorite still because of her) and then dance with me around the house. I never had to wonder if she loved me because she always let me know how much she did my whole life. To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you are the world. Aunt Gloria, I’m the one person. You’ll always be my world.
Love you always,
Your Niece Nicole
My dear Aunt was one of the kindest and mildest individuals I ever had the privilege of knowing. Her mildness reminded me of Moses and her exemplar, Jesus Christ, even when my cousin and I while in our teenage years would cut up I can’t remember her one time raising her voice in anger or disappointment. Although mild tempered she smiled and laughed as much as she could. I will miss my Aunt Glo-Jean, or sometimes as my Grandfather would call her, Glory! In her timeline she’s already in the new world and since Jehovah is the God of the living, she is alive in His eyes and I’m sure he will delight in bringing back such a delightful person!!
I will miss my aunt Gloria. She was a fighter and smiling to the very end. I will always remember her dance moves on the dance floor. She was a really nice person. My deepest condolences to Glen, little Glen, Erica, Kevin, Nadiyah, all of Gloria’s great grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, and extended family. Love Craig
Aunt Gloria I didn’t see much of u but u was a beautiful person inside and out no more hurting and being in pain we will meet again auntie .and at that time it will be a perfect kingdom for all
Hi it’s Donna,some call me Gloria’s twin
But after her the mold was broken, couldn’t be duplicated again.
I’ll try to imitate her beauty and grace. Even when it’s rough, like her,I’ll keep a smile on my face.
I’ll try to be kind and easy going, like a river that’s easy flowing.
I’ll try to imitate her patience, like that of Job.
And try to be a good friend,a real treasure trove.
I can work on being interested in how others feel,
And never to make my problems such a big deal.
I could maybe learn how to dance, starting with the”electric slide “
But I still couldn’t keep it up without her by my side.
Who am I kidding, I could never be her twin,
But I’ll work at being good,so that I may see her again.
(that’s Gloria)
What a gem she was among many! I will miss her warm embrace, our conversations & yes that beautiful smile! Condolences to the family, & may the comfort from Jehovah & friends be with you all!

Fought a good fight now rest in peace
I had the opportunity to go in the ministry with sister Gloria & it was a very pleasant & memorable time. She was so friendly with a humble demeanor. It was an honor to spend that time in the ministry with her. I pray for comfort and peace to her whole family. I’m sure that it will be a glorious time when we see Gloria in paradise. That time is just around the corner & she will be dancing out the door!!
Aunt Gloria will be missed, Dancing with that smile that lit up any room! Always asking my mom “What’s Dee doing?” while they were chatting on the phone. I will forever cherish that last hug I got on Sunday. You fought until the end, now it’s time to rest.
I love you Auntie❤️

To my aunt Gloria,
I have met many people in my lifetime, but my aunt Gloria is one of the sweetest, and most genuine people I have ever met. She always made me feel loved, even if we didn’t see, of speak to each other for periods of time. My mom(and her sister) was so fond of her I know she would be very sad right now if she was still here with us. I trust and believe and that they we are each other soon, and their eyes will be filled with tears of joy. I pray that my uncle Glen, and cousins Eric and Glen have the strength necessary to navigate this difficult time. This world has lost another good one for now. Love you always auntie.

I have so many memorable moments of Gloria, my favorite was her dancing, we danced together for years and every time she danced she will light up the room. Her laughter and smile was contagious. She will be missed dearly. But for me there are so many moments to hold on to.
Long to see my dear sister, my friend again.
Burton/Quarels Family,
Please accept our condolences in behalf of sister Gloria Burton’s falling a sleep in death. When we think of Gloria, her Kodak smile comes to mind along with hair always being in place. Behind every good man there is an outstanding woman. Glen has always been an upbeat, serious and down to earth brother due in part to his better half (Gloria).
With deepest sympathy,
The Wilkersons
West Newport News Congregation
Reading the many, many comments, it’s obvious how wel-loved Gloria is. I only knew her for the past year serving alongside her in her congregation, but I can say this: she was always smiling and never let on that she was sick because of her positive attitude and strong faith. Gloria was always very mild and kind when I spoke with her, and even when I talked to her at her sickest she had such kind words to share. I’m very sad not to get more time to know her now, but I share the strong that Gloria had that her family and friends will spend eternity together very soon.
Deepest condolences to the family.
We look forward to when Isaiah 25:8 is forfilled.
Gloria leaves behind many wonderful memories to reflect upon. Even if you weren’t able to engage in a lengthy conversation with her, just a hello and or a smile could brighten the moment. Beautiful true comments about a beautiful person. Never forgotten.
Rest in peace my dear cousin. I’ll always remember the fun we had growing up. It was you, me and Lois. I’m glad I had the pleasure of talking to you on the phone a little while back. We was always together until you moved to Richmond. I’ll always love you!!! Condolences goes out to your family
We are so sorry for your loss. Gloria was a beautiful person. We look forward to seeing her in the new world.
Sending My Condolences To The Burton Family And Extended Family🙏🏾May Jehovah Give You All Strength At This Very Vulnerable Time!! Gloria I Will Always Remember You For Your Loving Heart And Beautiful Smile🥰Sleep In Peace🤍🕊‼️
I will miss conversations with my dear cousin and spiritual friend. We grew up together and rode the same school bus as children. We used to dance and have lots of fun.
Years later, I was happy to learn that she was studying the Bible and soon got baptized. I enjoyed the encouraging conversations we had and the positive hope of the scriptural fulfillment of Isaiah 25:8 says, “Jehovah will swallow up death forever…” I patiently look forward to seeing my cousin again.
Gloria was always smiling and giving nice hugs when you saw her. I always look forward to seeing her and my cousins at the conventions in Richmond. My condolences to the family, may Jehovah give you peace and know that we can look forward to seeing her again we have faith like Job. (Job 14:13-15)
Always present in Jehovah house despite her pain. She encouraged us through our pain and tears and her warm loving smiled really warmed our heart. Gloria was full of love
Always reaching out to share that warm love.
She and Glen together warmed our heart even in her pain she didn’t complain. Her warm smile was a light she shared .We will truly miss her but she’s now in Jehovahs hand. So Gloria would want us all to care for her Glen and family ” True friends we are” Paradise soon!!

So sorry for your loss brother Burton. You will not have long before you can see her again. May Jehovah bring you comfort. We are here for you 🙏🏽
I will always remember her kindness and smile to me. She was so encouraging to me when my mom passed and i will never forget that. Whenever she saw me she said im not gon keep asking how you doing cause thats silly and i know thats irritating you, im just gon give you a big hug and thats what she did everytime she saw me. I pray jehovah will give comfort to us all at this difficult time of grief. Just a little while longer my parents both always said .. just a little while longer.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Glenn, Erica, lil Glenn and Linda . May you continue to find peace and comfort during this time from prayers, God’s Word, family and our world wide spiritual brotherhood. . We have a sure hope, to see our loved ones again in a beautiful paradise.
We are sorry to hear about the loss of our dear sister. We long for the day when our loving God Jehovah reunites us with all his faithful servants.
May Jehovah continue to comfort the family with love and support from all who count it a privilege to know and love them.
I didn’t know her that well but the time I did she always had a glowing smile and a hug that made you feel the love she felt for you 💓. She will be missed but I know I will see that 😃 smile again.
It is with a very heavy heart that I accept the fact that my dear sister is gone. But I made it a point to see her when she could hear me say, I love you and Jehovah do too. And she ever so politely said in the most humble tone I love you too. Words cannot express how warm an d caring and how loving this lady was. I love her with all my heart as well as her entire family. I hate that Glen best friend is gone. I will worry Jehovah to death in prayer to hold you up and keep you going. You both have inspired me from a little girl. Always encouraging me and telling me to rely on Jehovah. So at this time I will rely on Jehovah to heal my heart as I hold on to the promise: The dead will Rise. Greeting Daddy Burt, my mom and dad, and Lionel and many many more. Their race has been won we are still running we must continue on to finish line and Jehovah will say : “You listened, you obeyed, and you are now blessed with an endless new world. Much love to Glen, Erica, and Glenn Jr. She loved yall and yall loved her. And it was obvious hold on to the precious memories and let them soothe your pain. I pray that they will comfort you at this difficult time.
