Gregory B. Deyo was born on September 6, 1959, and was greeted by the Ancestors on October 4, 2023. He was surrounded by family, friends, and Hospice staff at Parham Doctors Hospital.
He was born and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York. While living in the city he pursued a career in Appliances, HVAC, and refrigeration. Gregory later moved to Virginia for a better life. Here he worked at various factories, and line cooking until he decided to retire. Gregory did things his own way, and those who knew him knew! He loved to grill, listen to music, fish, go for drives, and most importantly, spend time with his family.
Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Mary M. Deyo; father, Ralph F. Deyo, Sr.; brother, Ralph F. Deyo, Jr.; and sister, Yvette A. Lewis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory sisters, Susan Y. Deyo and Beverly Deyo; nieces, Syrita M. Lewis and Leah Aja; great-nephews, Terrence Coleman, Noah Coleman, and Preston Truell; childhood friend/brother, Ernest Bowman; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gregory will be truly missed. We will all keep smiling with his memories.
Sleep in heavenly peace. You will be deeply loved and missed.
