
Hannah Al-Ghaffaar
February 27, 1957 – August 28, 2019
Hannah Al-Ghaffaar, peacefully entered into eternal peace on August 28, 2019. Hannah was born February 27, 1957 in Richmond, VA to the late Delia and Elwood Coleman Sr. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Elwood Jr., Phillip and Ezra Coleman.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was reared at S.I. Edwards Memorial Church. She was educated at S.I. Edwards Memorial School and Richmond Public Schools. Hannah was a nurse assistant for over 35 years and loved caring for the elderly. She enjoyed going out with family, laughing and having fun.
Hannah leaves to cherish her memory of three children, Robert Coleman (Kesha), Shannel and Tarshell Coleman. Three grandkids, Robert Coleman, La’shelle and The’montae Robinson. Five sisters Naomi Sarbo (Robert), Tessie Simms, Dorcas, Martha and Esther Kyna Coleman. Four brothers Samuel, Clevius (Cherese) Benjamin of NY and Sterling Coleman (Barbara) of NY. Four aunts, Mattie Hudson of NY, Gloria Coleman of NY, Arnisha Thurston (Larry) of Gordansville, VA and Vivian Fuller of Richmond. Three uncles Samuel Fuller (Devoted), William Fuller and John Fuller Sr. (Dorothy). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great aunts and friends who lived life with Hannah.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at Affinity Funeral Service-Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Parkway Richmond, VA 23294. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1 P.M.
